Cirrus Concept Consulting - FAQ's
Who are you guys anyway?
I am a nurse that went back to school after 10 years of nursing to get a business degree in management and marketing. I wanted to couple my two degrees so I went to work for a corporate staffing agency. However, after a couple of years, I was fed up with the mentality of a sales driven industry that pushed numbers and consistently put profit before people. I loved the business and wanted to continue working with other health care professionals and exploring career opportunities as well as my clients whom I grew close too and helping them find the ideal candidate for their open position. So, I decided to start this company and practice my business with values that are inline with my own personal value system and morals. I will do whatever it takes to help out both of my clients, the health care professional and the health care organization. I promise to always put people first and represent all of the parties’ best interest because that is why I chose to become a nurse in the first place.
How long have you been around?
I have been a nurse for over 20 years. I have worked in the staffing industry for approximately 10 years and have been in business for approximately 7 years with the start up of Cirrus Concept Consulting, LLC in January of 2003.
Is there a fee for your services?
There is no fee to the health care candidate seeking a position. I do not charge the candidate a fee or a portion of their salary. Nor does it reflect what salary or hourly rate you will be offered. Most of my clients have recruiting budgets set up and my services are one of the many options they have to choose from to assist them in meeting their needs.
What about working with more than one recruiter?
That is great, the more people you have working for you the better. However, I just ask as a courtesy to all independent recruiters involved that you monitor the activities and inform all recruiters of where your resume was sent, where you interviewed, etc. It is a small world in healthcare in this region and we would not want anyone to trip over each other or duplicate one another’s efforts.
I always wanted to ask for more money but I was afraid to because I did not want to look bad or make them bad. The negotiations were uncomfortable, I was just happy to get the job; do you do that for me?
Absolutely! I am your advocate. I have experience in salary negotiations as well as insight into the market. I also know most of the human resource specialists at each organization and am comfortable speaking with them. Therefore, I will always negotiate for you at your direction. I will make sure that it will not have a negative affect on you whatsoever; I can serve as a buffer.
What do you do for the client?
I prescreen, pre qualify, interview, reference check, verify past employment, education and licensure information.
What do you do for the candidate?
I help build their resume, market their resume, advocate for my candidate, set up interviews, give immediate feedback, negotiate offers, etc.
